Potential Departure from Kindle Unlimited

I’m planning on taking my books off of Kindle Unlimited sometime in 2025. I’ve not had any page reads through that platform in quite a number of months, so I figure the time is ripe to try and put my books out wide. If you’re unaware, having my books available on Kindle Unlimited requires me to make them exclusive to Amazon. This comes with the benefit of being able to run discounts fairly easily, though even that has some pretty annoying limitations. Making my books wide will mean it’s potentially more of a hassle to put them on discount, but it will mean those who read on other devices or through other services will have access to buy my books. It’s difficult to know if it’ll make a positive difference at this point, but since the KU page reads have dried up, there’s no reason not to try. So watch out for that announcement once I’ve figured out how I’m going to do it.
